This book by James Morier was illustrated by Cyrus LeRoy Baldridge, published in 1937 by Randon House. I found it on one of my little antique hunting excursions several years ago and just hate the thought that others might not see these nice illustration. So besides sharing them here, I am also sending a disk of all color images to be archived by the Hollywood Animations Archives. Old illustrations among other things are saved there and I highly recommend you visit that site as well, since it is a true treasure trove.

I love the dome it looks like it is made of precious jewels. The artwork is fantastic, what a lucky find for you. I tried to click on the image to see a larger view but I had to log on to Yahoo, and then afterward got a message that the image was private... In any case I enjoyed your post, Enzie!
